Airbus brings its full portfolio of products and services to the biennial UK aerospace event
From its comprehensive jetliner and helicopter product range to solutions for urban mobility, space exploration, defence and security, Airbus highlights the company’s capabilities at the 2018 Farnborough Airshow, held 16-22 July at Farnborough Airport, Hampshire, England.
The commercial aircraft product line-up features a ‘first’ at an international aerospace event: the new, state-of-the-art A220 Family – now being produced in a partnership with Canada’s Bombardier – which has joined Airbus’ single-aisle jetliner product line.
Accompanying the A220 Family at Farnborough are four other Airbus jetliner types: the single-aisle A321neo with the Airbus Cabin Flex interior; along with the widebody A350-1000, A330-900neo and A380.
Airbus rotary-wing aircraft planned for the airshow are the single-engine H125 light utility helicopter and the unmanned VSR 700 rotary-wing system developed for naval applications. Among Airbus Defence products exhibited at Farnborough are the A400M multi-role transporter and C295 tactical airlifter.
Experience ‘bubbles’ for an immersive visitor experience
In the Airbus pavilion at Farnborough, traditional displays are complemented by experience ‘bubbles’ – immersive areas that enable visitors to experience the company’s key product themes for security; the future of flight; data, intelligence and surveillance; along with Airbus partnerships.
