PhD Opportunities

This three-year programme offers postgraduate students an opportunity to gain commercial experience working on a live research project that contributes towards their PhD thesis.

The CIFRE Programme offers the chance to combine research with the development of practical solutions to genuine Airbus needs. CIFRE brings you together with Airbus and a research laboratory in a single live project.

You are employed by Airbus on a three-year limited contract, splitting your time between the company and the laboratory: studying, researching and gaining work experience. The research element contributes towards your PhD thesis.

You will need an engineering or business school background and a relevant Master’s degree or equivalent, and can be from any nationality. CIFRE Conventions are administered by the ANRT, the French Association for Technology & Research. For more details, visit the ANRT website.
