Professional accreditation
We encourage all our graduates to gain appropriate professional accreditation to aid career progression. Many of our engineering graduates are working towards achieving chartered status from bodies such as the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, the IET and the Royal Aeronautical Society.
Gaining accreditation
To become a Chartered Engineer you need to satisfy certain requirements adminstered by the Engineering Council UK regarding education, training and experience. For this, you will need the support of a mentor. Graduates on our DEG programme have chartership mentors specifically for this purpose.
Graduates in other areas of the business are also given support in order to achieve professional membership of an institution. These include the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) and Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS).
