Innovation for cabin crew friendliness

Thanks to the introduction of a "state of the art" technology, the FAP offers the maximum comfort to the users. A 15" touch LC-Display allows the use of a JAVA graphical interface optimizing the crews efficiency though cabin operations oriented menuss and easing the cabin monitoring with graphical representations of the aircrafts aereas the cabin status.

FAP Options

  • For CIDS independent applications, an additional PC with standard operation system can be integrated in each FAP. Other systems and components like IFE, video cameras, printer and fileserver can be easily connected and controlled
  • An optional USB keypad may be provided on airline request.

Multiple interfaces for an increased adaptability

The concept of the system is based on a local Ethernet network, which allows for a high scalability: up to 10 FAPs can be connected throughout the A/C cabin. The provision of many different interfaces ensures the high scalability and evolution capability of the FAP. The FAP front is equipped with a USB-plug which can be used in a flexible way, dependening on the airline needs or future functional evolution. For instance a keyboard, a mouse, a CD-Rom unit or an additional memory card could be plugged for use on airlines applications hosted on the optional PC module or for new FAP functionalities. In the same way, a headphone interface is available for any audio application possibly coming in the future.

Optional PC module: Bring your own application

For additional airliner functions the performance of the FAP can be extended by a plug-in module. This plug-in module offers:

  • A standard operating system and secure partition between CIDS and PC Functions.
  • An Additional five Port 10/100 Base T Ethernet Hub.
  • Two analogue Video Interfaces and two Relays Input/Output.

For video monitoring, two analogue video cameras with PAL or NTSC standard interfaces can be connected to the plug-in-module. Additional network cameras can be connected to the Ethernet ports.
