Maintenance training

Maintenance training courses are developed to ensure maintenance training and support airlines maintenance competence development.

Maintenance classrooms are all equipped with virtual reality and advanced trainers to perform part of the practical training. Thus the Airbus Competence Training (ACT) for maintenance concept, a learning-by-doing approach, is focusing on operationally-oriented training. The ACT Trainers and Component Location Virtual Aircraft allow trainees to perform maintenance tasks from cockpit to aircraft component in a realistic and safe environment. Their combined use reduces the practical training time on the actual aircraft, contributing to its decreased downtime.

The extensive use of computer-based training technology provides a significant degree of “portability” to Airbus courses, allowing instructors to conduct ground school class at the customers’ own locations.  e-Learning solutions are also provided by Airbus.
