Two decades of A320 Family airline service
When the first A320 Family aircraft entered revenue service with launch customer Air France in April 1988, it was one of just 16 single-aisle aircraft provided to customers that year. Now, two decades later, more than 3,400 A320 Family aircraft have been delivered to over 200 operators and clients around the globe. And, with a backlog of 2,700 orders, demand for the Airbus single-aisle aircraft has never been higher - with production line slots all but filled through 2013. At its launch, the A320 aircraft product line offered a step change, and its efficiency and versatility remain unmatched today. The family continues to benefit from regular updates to its technology and its interior - maintaining its popularity with airlines worldwide, while also finding a growing customer base among VIP and corporate operators.
