News in brief
The A350 XWB programme has reached a new industrial milestone with the successful curing of this new-generation jetliner’s composite “crown” fuselage panel. The 19.7-metres-long, 77-square-metre component was completed by Airbus partner Spirit Aerosystems at its Kinston, North Carolina, USA site – where the panel is now ready for its trimming, drilling and non-destructive inspection processes, to be performed over the coming weeks.
