For those who want their 2011 Paris Air Show memories to last long after the final aircraft leaves Le Bourget Airport next weekend, Airbus is offering a full range of goods for sale from its first dedicated merchandise shop at this biennial industry gathering.
Located in the static display area next to the A380’s parking spot and adjacent to Chalet Line A, it is an extension of the “Let’s shop Airbus” on-line store that opened in 2009.
As with the “virtual” version, the Paris Air Show store includes such merchandise as caps, T-shirts, keychains, mugs, pins, pens and watches – all with branding related to members of the Airbus civil and military aircraft product line. Also being sold are limited edition mugs, pins and key chains with the new “Love A380” campaign.
While the Paris Air Show’s “Let’s shop Airbus” boutique will close its doors at the event’s conclusion, a network of stores are being opened at targeted locations around the world. The first was recently created at the Toulouse-Blagnac Airport in southwest France, which is home to Airbus headquarters and one of the key aerospace industry concentrations in Europe. The next “Let’s shop Airbus” location is planned at Singapore Changi International Airport.
