Airbus reached another programme milestone for its 21st century flagship A380 with delivery of the 80th aircraft, received today by Singapore Airlines. This carrier was the first to operate the double-deck jetliner in October 2007, and has used the A380 to such destinations as Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Melbourne, New York, Paris, Sydney, Tokyo and Zurich. In service with a total of eight airlines around the globe, an A380 takes off or lands every eight minutes.
