The first of six A380s ordered by Malaysia Airlines departed Airbus’ Toulouse, France facility today on its way to Kuala-Lumpur, where it is scheduled to be placed into service on 1 July. Seating 494 passengers in a premium three-class layout, the aircraft features a special celebration livery, and is equipped with such cabin amenities as the latest individual in-flight entertainment systems, USB ports and satellite telephone service.Upon its entry into operation on the Kuala-Lumpur to London route, Malaysia will become the eighth operator of Airbus’ 21st century flagship jetliner.
