Aircraft Interiors Expo

8-10 April 2014
Hamburg, Germany

Airbus will showcase the comfort without compromise offered throughout the company’s full range of modern jetliners during its traditional participation at Aircraft Interiors Expo, which is the world’s largest event dedicated to the aircraft interiors industry.

As the company’s latest aircraft, the A350 XWB will take centre stage during this industry gathering, with the latest news from the A350’s cabin development programme following cabin installation for MSN2 – which is the first flight test jetliner to be fitted with a full passenger cabin – as well as the A350 Customer Definition Centre’s inauguration.

Presented during the show with a full-scale mockup will be the new 11-abreast main-deck A380 configuration which Airbus is evaluating. This innovative layout maintains the company’s 18-inch wide seat standard for passenger comfort, while enhancing revenue generation for operators.

The company’s modern comfort standard for full-service economy class will also be on display at the event with the cabin comfort demonstrator, which highlights for show visitors the difference in comfort one extra inch offers compared to the 1950s-era 17-inch industry norm that is still used by other aircraft manufacturers. On the Airbus stand (Hall 5, Stand B20), the A320 and A330 Families’ continuous cabin innovation will be showcased with the new high-definition cabin visualization.
