A traditional signature ceremony was held today at the Asian Aerospace air show when representatives of 23 suppliers and distributors renewed their agreements with CASC/Airbus Customer Services Support in China, in the presence of Laurence Barron, Airbus China President.
Jean-Hughes Depigny, vice president customers for Airbus China, expressed his pleasure at the renewed support given by Airbus suppliers. “We are proud to have established this co-operation, which is more a partnership to support our customers in the best possible way,” he stated.
What Chinese operators want is “more support, quicker and better.” “In the end,” he said, echoing the statements expressed by Gustav Humbert at the press conference this morning, “it is customer satisfaction that is important and we can only reach that goal together.”
Suppliers’ presence at the Beijing-based CASC/Airbus Customer Services Support Centre helps ensure a fast response to airlines’ needs while reducing costs and turnaround time. The FAA and CAAC approved avionics repair station is also the first organisation granted EN9100: 2003 in China.
The centre is part of a complex making training and support more accessible and convenient to Airbus operators in China and in the Asia-Pacific region. As a further sign of continuity and willingness to continue what Airbus is doing in China, Jean-Hughes Depigny also announced that CASC was renewing its contract for another 20 years.
