Airbus participates in IATA's Madrid meeting
The latest meeting of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) organised 25- 27 February in Madrid, gathered some 800 delegates and representatives of aerospace organisations around the subjects of "Fly safe, fly smart, fly green" and crisis management. Airbus took an active part in the discussions and in particular in the Future Aircraft Technologies panel, the objective of which was to discuss advanced engine technologies, alternative fuels and new aircraft design. IATA, an international organisation created some 60 years ago by a group of airlines, today comprises more than 240 airlines representing some 94 per cent of the international scheduled air traffic.
