Airbus opens its Farnborough Airshow exhibit to the world… virtually

Airbus is inviting people from around the globe to the Farnborough Airshow – with a unique interactive feature that provides 360 deg. virtual tours of the display area.

Offering a “walkaround” online visits to the exhibit area inside Airbus Group’s Farnborough Airshow pavilion and outdoor aircraft display area, this tour delivers an “up close and personal” look at the innovative technology and advanced products that are taking centre stage at this biennial aerospace industry event  – all accessible through the programme’s scan, tilt and zoom functions.

On the Farnborough flight line, “visit” the Airbus Group’s the two members of Airbus’ market-leading widebody aircraft product line which are taking centre stage this week: the 21st century flagship A380, next-generation A350 XWB.

Meanwhile, the separate interactive pavilion tour allows online visitors to “step inside” the digital version of Airbus’ full-scale A350 XWB cockpit mockup, explore its cabin comfort demonstrator, and see scale models of the company’s modern and efficient jetliners. Also included are examples of advanced technology from the Airbus Group’s Airbus Helicopters and Airbus Defence and Space business units, as well as the corporate-level Airbus Group Innovations research and technology network.
