Airbus Corporate Jet Centre leads in Eastern Europe with maintenance organisation approval from Russian authorities

21 May 2013 Press Release

Airbus Corporate Jet Centre (ACJC), the specialist in Airbus Corporate Jet VIP cabin completion and customised nose-to-tail services, has received Part 145 maintenance organisation approval from the Russian State Centre of Aviation Flight Safety, confirming its leadership in Eastern Europe as a completion and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) centre.

Maintenance organisation approval empowers ACJC to perform base and line maintenance, light maintenance, heavy maintenance up to the 6 year check, and upgrades (Service Bulletin/EO embodiment on both airframe and systems), as well as aircraft modifications on Russian A320 family aircraft. This includes trouble-shooting worldwide.

"Granted in November 2012, Airbus Corporate Jet Centre was the first foreign MRO centre approved by the Russian Ministry of Transport for the maintenance of Airbus A320 family aircraft, including corporate jets. In September 2011, we were already approved by the Ukrainian civil aviation authorities", says Jérôme Ferasin, Head of Services Sales. "The approval highlights our leadership in Eastern Europe, as well as the strong partnerships that we have forged with our ACJ customers from this area by mastering Airbus types and offering high quality work at affordable cost", he adds.

With this approval, ACJC is now performing maintenance and aircraft modifications for several Airbus corporate jets in Eastern Europe, including governmental ACJ aircraft. “In December 2012, we successfully signed a VIP Pass agreement with SFD Russia, the operator of two federal state Airbus ACJ319s, in what is the first customised package entirely dedicated to ACJ operators for long-term maintenance”, Ferasin says.

"We are very proud to be the reference for private and governmental Airbus corporate jets registered in Eastern Europe”, declares Benoit Defforge, CEO of the Airbus Corporate Jet Centre. “We have built strong relationships with those ACJ customers, based on confidence gained during several completion, maintenance and refurbishment working parties, which demonstrates our ability to meet their very high level of expectations", he concludes.

VIP PASS

Airbus Corporate Jet Centre’s VIP Pass is a suite of seven customizable services, covering scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in a single package. With ACJC’s VIP Pass, ACJ operators can tailor their own package, reflecting their support strategy, around the following services:

- System upgrade and cabin refurbishment
- Airframe maintenance

- Access to aircraft manufacturer services

Airbus Corporate Jet Centre

Dedicated to providing quality cabin-outfitting and innovative packages of customised nose-to-tail services for Airbus ACJ family aircraft, the Airbus Corporate Jet Centre (ACJC) is small enough to provide personal service to customers, with around 270 employees, but is also backed by the full resources of its shareholder, Airbus, the world's largest manufacturer of modern airliners.

Based in Toulouse, France, ACJC has already contracted with prestigious customers in Asia, Europe and the Middle East. It attributes its success to a strong technical background, plus highly skilled employees that have now completed thirteen ACJ cabins. Including former EADS Sogerma deliveries, Airbus Corporate Jet Centre is now the world leader for ACJ319/ACJ320 VIP cabin completion, having delivered 24 VIP cabins for Airbus aircraft.

The Airbus Corporate Jet Centre also specialises in tailor-made services and maintenance for ACJs, including the A320, A330 and A340 families. Increasing its teams and the capacity of its facilities, in 2009 the company launched VIP Pass, a package of nose-to-tail services developed for executive and private operators of Airbus corporate jets.
