1 December 2008
News in brief
As part of its obligations under the European REACH chemicals regulations that came into force in June 2007, Airbus identified and pre-registered all eligible hazardous substances used in the manufacture of its aircraft by the end of November 2008. REACH - which stands for Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals - requires registration of all hazardous substances used, manufactured or imported above one tonne per year in the European Union by 2018.
