Asiana Airlines is taking full advantage of the A380’s unique cabin offerings, combining the South Korea-based carrier’s philosophy for customer satisfaction with Airbus’ unmatched technical capabilities to provide a one-of-a-kind passenger experience.
“With “premium” space for all passengers, the A380 will become a flagship for Asiana Airlines’ commitment to customers – providing unrivalled comfort, service and efficiency,” explained Joost van der Heijden, Airbus’ Head of Marketing for Asia. “The A380 allows Asiana Airlines to be competitive in the market and still answer the requirements of customers – in all classes – for high-quality service.”
van der Heijden said the carrier’s first-class A380 cabin – containing 12 seats located on the main deck – will offer a “five-star hotel in the sky.” Passengers will each have a “private room,” with a full-flat seat, an impressive 32-inch high-definition screen for in-flight entertainment, and space to hang clothes.
In business class, Asiana Airlines also is featuring full-flat seats – complemented by personal 15.6-inch video monitors. Located on the aircraft’s upper deck, the carrier’s 66 business class seats are configured in a staggered 1-2-1 layout for more personal space and direct aisle access.
Asiana Airlines’ economy passengers will experience best-in-class “premium” service on the A380 as well. With a total of 417 economy-class seats (311 on the main deck and 106 on the upper deck), the carrier is providing these travellers with 11.1-inch individual video monitors, along with slimline seats for additional legroom, as well as the Airbus modern comfort standard of at least 18-inch wide seats on long-haul travel.
“Asiana Airlines is well-known for top-notch service and comfort,” Lopez-Blanco said. “It is utilising the A380’s spacious double-deck configuration to provide a superior experience for all passengers.”
