Airbus ProSky enters agreement to enhance flight operations in the Asia-Pacific region

Established by a memorandum of understanding inked earlier in November, this cooperation will facilitate performance and capacity improvements that will help Singapore better meet air traffic demand, as well as enhance the broader Asia-Pacific region’s overall air traffic management (ATM) profile.

The Airbus ProSky/CAAS partnership will enable the assessment of technology and serve to accelerate and strengthen ATM system enhancements. In addition, the two will work together to build a Singapore-based ATM centre of excellence for developing new concepts, technologies and solutions. 

Airbus is a leading proponent for modernized ATM, with a goal to achieve the highest operational efficiencies through more direct routings – which results in 10-per cent less aircraft fuel consumption and significant reductions in CO2 and noise emissions. 

The Airbus ProSky subsidiary – which includes the Metron Aviation, Quovadis and ATRiCs companies – is committed to working side-by-side with Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSP), aircraft operators and airport authorities to build a truly collaborative system with greater capacity, better performance and environmental sustainability for all stakeholders.
