The Airbus Americas headquarters is located near Washington, D.C. in Herndon, Virginia, adjacent to Washington Dulles International Airport. The facility employs some 140 people in sales, marketing, and communications for Airbus customers in the U.S. and Canada. These employees reflect the diverse nationality that is common at Airbus worldwide, offering customers daily interaction with a company that provides a truly global perspective.

Spares Center - Ashburn, Virginia
The Airbus Customer Service Spares Center is located in Ashburn, Virginia, near Washington Dulles International Airport. Over 90 Airbus employees keep this warehouse operating around the clock – shipping out aircraft parts, tools, and other equipment to customers in the Americas. The center has more than $200 million of spares stock, with 70,000 part numbers that represent nearly all of the proprietary hardware used on Airbus aircraft.

- The Airbus Military Service Center at Mobile Regional Airport in Alabama
Airbus Military Service Center – Mobile, Alabama
Inaugurated in October 2009, Airbus Military North America’s maintenance, repair and overhaul delivery center at the Mobile Regional Airport supports its family of tactical multi-mission aircraft. The 30,000 square-foot facility provides North American operators of the C212 and CN235 tactical transports with the capabilities of a certified FAA Repair Station, as well as direct support from Airbus. The C212 and CN235 are used by a variety of military and civil operators, including the U.S. Coast Guard.
Final Assembly Line

Mobile, Alabama
Airbus’ first U.S.-based production facility is being built at the Brookley Aeroplex in Mobile, Alabama, for the final assembly of A319s, A320s and A321s. Construction officially began on the facility in April 2013 with a groundbreaking ceremony attended by Airbus and EADS executives, dignitaries, members of the Gulf Coast community and more. Aircraft assembly is planned to begin in 2015 and, at full capability, the site will produce four aircraft per month while employing as many as 1,000 high-skill workers at the assembly line and associated facilities. The decision to create this new Mobile assembly line supports Airbus’ commitment to meeting demands of airlines around the globe for modern, fuel-efficient aircraft, as well as the company’s strategy of increasing its global industrial footprint.
Design and engineering offices
Design and Engineering Offices - Wichita, Kansas
Airbus opened its first North American design and engineering facility in 2002, bringing together some of America's top talent to work on the 525-seat A380 and other long-range Airbus programs. In June 2010, the Wichita location was expanded with a second engineering center to focus on wing work for Airbus aircraft, and house a team of in-service repair engineers specializing in critical support for customers around the world. As of March 2013, the Airbus Engineering Center operations in Wichita some 380 engineers focused on design and stress work on wings in new and existing Airbus aircraft models.

- The Airbus Engineering Office in Mobile, Alabama
Engineering Office - Mobile, Alabama
Officially opened in February 2007, the Airbus Mobile Engineering Center in Mobile, Alabama provides new product development work for lavatories on Airbus’ newest jetliners, the A350 XWB. This facility – which began with 35 employees and has grown to a staff of 220 as of March 2013 – also provides customer-specified aircraft updates, such as cabin reconfiguration tasks for in-production A330s and the staircases which link the A380’s two cabin decks.
Training center

- A320 flight simulator at Airbus Training Center in Miami, Florida
Miami, Florida
The custom-designed, 110,000-square-foot Airbus Training Center in Miami has a total of six full-flight simulators for the A320 and A330/A340 Family jetliners, plus cabin door and slide trainers, state-of-the-art computer-based training classrooms and aircraft system trainers. Approximately 2,000 trainees take Airbus courses annually under the direction of more than 100 Airbus employees, which include full-time flight instructors, flight operation engineers, maintenance instructors and simulator technicians. Most of the facility’s trainees and visitors come from airline operators in the U.S., Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean. The training center facility also houses the headquarters of Airbus Latin America & Caribbean Customer Affairs.

Safety & Technical Affairs/Government Relations
Washington, D.C.
Located in downtown Washington, D.C. just a few blocks from the White House, the office is staffed by Airbus and contract employees with broad experience within Airbus, and at various U.S. agencies that include the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The Airbus Americas Safety and Technical Affairs operation provides engineering and technical support for Airbus in North America. The office maintains close liaison with FAA and NTSB, and is actively involved in activities related to existing and new products, including the A380. The Airbus Americas Government Relations Department is liaison to the U.S. Congress, the executive branch and the diplomatic community.
