People & Organization
A dedicated organization
Over the past three decades, Airbus has built a strong presence in the Americas. In addition to its headquarters in Herndon, Virginia near Washington D.C., the company has five locations in the U.S. – where nearly 1,000 employees are dedicated to serving the needs of every Airbus customer – as well as a network of on-site support and training centers throughout North and Latin America.
Airbus is expanding its U.S. presence with a new A320 Family final assembly line to be built in Mobile, Alabama, which will begin producing A319s, A320s and A321s in 2015. The facility will produce four aircraft monthly at its full rate, and could employ as many as 1,000 highly skilled workers.
