Iran selects Airbus for its civil aviation renewal

In a significant step for modernising Iran’s commercial aviation sector, Iranian officials have signed two agreements with Airbus at the Elysée Palace during Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s official visit to France. One agreement covers Iran Air’s acquisition of 118 Airbus jetliners – 73 widebodies and 45 single-aisle aircraft – and includes pilot and maintenance training and support services. The other is a comprehensive cooperation agreement to develop air navigation services, airport and aircraft operations, regulatory harmonisation, technical and academic training, maintenance, repair and industrial cooperation in the country. Airbus delivers its first U.S.-built aircraft to JetBlue

JetBlue officially took delivery of the first A320 Family aircraft produced at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, Alabama on 25 April 2016. The milestone jetliner was an A321 – the longest-fuselage member of Airbus’ popular single-aisle product line. This historic event was marked with a festive American football-themed ceremony held at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley – which was decorated in the U.S.’s red, white and blue colours.

Airbus unveils Global Market Forecast for 2016-2035

VietJetAir’s first A320 jetliner on order from Airbus

From manufacture to the skies, this video highlights VietJetAir’s first A320 on order with Airbus. The Vietnam-based carrier is acquiring up to 100 of Airbus’ best-selling single-aisle product line, which includes 63 aircraft on firm orders and 30 purchase rights as part of a deal finalised in February 2014. In addition, VietJetAir also will lease seven of these single-aisle jetliners from third-party lessors.
