Airbus maintenance facility in Malaysia also celebrates 10th anniversary The 12,000 square metre hangar boosts SAE’s capacity to handle the Airbus A320 Family, and can accommodate two of the aircraft at any time for major maintenance checks.Sepang Aircraft Engineering (SAE) officially opened its second hangar today with a ceremony attended by Dato‘ Sri Ong Ka Chuan, Minister of International Trade and Industry II, Malaysia.

Delivery of Thai Airways International’s first A350 XWB

During a delivery ceremony held 30 August 2016, Thai Airways International (THAI) became the eighth operator to receive Airbus’ A350 XWB jetliner – which features the latest aerodynamic design, carbon fiber fuselage and wings, plus new fuel-efficient Rolls-Royce engines. The carrier’s no. 1 aircraft is on lease from U.S.-based CIT. This video highlights key moments from the handover event.
