Airbus Helicopters formally handed over the first H145 for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity (MAAC) operated by Babcock Mission Critical Services (MCS) at an official ceremony at Helitech.
The best seller in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) sector - The H145, formerly the EC145, is the most advanced member of Airbus Helicopters’ multi-purpose twinengine category – logging a combined total of over four million flight hours and around 1,100 rotorcrafts in service worldwide for both versions.
The H145 simulator at the Airbus Helicopters Training Academy in Germany has been awarded level D status by the German Federal Aviation Office – the highest possible certification for a full flight simulator.
The H145M is the latest member of the 4-ton-class twin-engine rotorcraft product range with built-in mission capability, most notably in high-and-hot operating conditions. This economical and versatile helicopter covers the entire spectrum of military missions, from light utility to light attack.
