·         Jürgen Wienes becomes new Managing Director, Franz Plesser to leave the Managing Board

Munich, 14 September 2017 – Jürgen Wienes has been appointed Managing Director of Airbus Bank GmbH by the company’s Supervisory Board, effective as of 1 September 2017. He takes over the management of back-office operations from Franz Plesser, who will leave the Managing Board of Airbus Bank at the end of September 2017.

Franz Plesser has been Managing Director of the bank since Airbus acquired it in December 2014 and was involved in its successful transformation over three years.

His commitment and significant contribution to the bank’s reorientation helped pave the way for future success,” said Harald Wilhelm, Airbus Chief Financial Officer and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Airbus Bank GmbH. “At the same time, I am delighted to welcome Jürgen Wienes, a specialist who has held a number of high-level positions in the banking sector over the past two decades. Jürgen will head Airbus Bank together with Christian Unrath, Chairman of the Managing Board.”
