Mexican ABC Aerolineas to acquire 10 A320s

 ABC Aerolíneas of Mexico today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus for the acquisition of ten new A320s plus ten options, becoming a new Airbus customer. Deliveries of the newly ordered A320s will begin in the second quarter of 2007. The engine manufacturer has not yet been selected.ABC will launch its new air transport service under the INTERJET commercial brand. Interjet is based at Toluca airport, next to Mexico City and will start scheduled services in early December 2005. Interjet?s initial fleet consists of seven A320s recently acquired in Europe by the company. ?The A320 is the reference on the low cost market.
