Seating up to 240 passengers in a single-class layout, the A321neo enables airlines to increase capacity while benefitting from the lowest operating costs in the single-aisle category

The A321neo’s type certification with Pratt & Whitney PurePower PW1100G-JM engines clears the way for the service entry of this longest-fuselage version in Airbus’ New Engine Option jetliner family – meeting airline demands for efficient, comfortable and environmentally-friendly single-aisle jetliners with higher seating capacities.
Accommodating 206 passengers in a typical two-class cabin layout (and 240 in a high-density configuration), the A321neo has won more than 1,300 orders. With its operational flexibility and excellent economics, the aircraft is well tailored for a full range of flights, from high-density domestic segments to long-range “thin” routes with lower passenger load factors.
Certification documentation for the twin-engine A321neo with PurePower PW1100G-JM powerplants was signed by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, clearing the way for delivery start-up. The A321neo with the other engine offered by Airbus – CFM International’s LEAP-1A – is to be certified in the coming months.
Airbus’ A320neo Family offers unbeatable economics in terms of fuel and cost efficiency.  The in-service A320neo fleet already is meeting or exceeding the specifications for fuel burn, time-to-climb and noise levels.
Overall, Airbus has booked orders for more than 4,800 A320neo Family aircraft from 89 customers. For additional information on the A320neo’s certification with Pratt & Whitney PurePower PW1100G-JM engines, see the press release.
