Airbus Defence and Space Suppliers – we recognize you!

Ceremony of suppliers Awards for Liebherr, best improvers

At the second annual Supplier Conference in Bremen on September 17th, 2015 Airbus Defence and Space recognized its suppliers who have excelled in performance, innovation and improvement over the last 12 months.

Best Performer suppliers were selected based Supplier Evaluation and Development (SED) criteria as this encompasses both operational performance and strategic excellence results. Best in Innovation supplier was awarded based on its innovative abilities. The Best Improver for Procurement, Supply Chain and Logistics organization was selected based on the performance improvement actions taken over the last year.

The awards were handed out by Martin Weichhardt, HO Head of Procurement, Supply Chain and Logistics, Pilar Albiac Murillo, Airbus Defence and Space Executive Vice President HO Operations & Transformation and A400M industrialisation, Karine Dehaese, Vice President HO Procurement & Supply Chain Quality, and the respective Head of commodity. The 2015 winners were:

  • Meggit Control Systems (Dunstable): Best Performer – Flight & Platform Systems
  • COM DEV International Products Division: Best Performer – Ground & Mission Systems
  • Rohde & Schwarz GmbH & Co.KG: Best Performer – Electrical Hardware
  • CISCO Systems Inc.: Best in Innovation – Operational Services
  • GE Aviation: Best Performer – In-Service Support
  • Aciturri Aeronáutica S.L.: Best Performer – Structure & Materials
  • Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS: Best Improver
