Airbus’ A320 Family: a long track record of innovation

Franck Vermaire, Head of A320 Family Marketing, highlights the A320 Family’s track record of innovation and provides details on its latest advances – including the Space-Flex cabin option, slimline seats and more.

U.S.-based ILFC will receive some of its latest-ordered A320 Family aircraft from Airbus’ new single-aisle jetliner final assembly line in Mobile, Alabama – providing this major leasing company with aircraft built in America.
ILFC Chief Executive Officer Henri Courpron said it was a plus for the company to be receiving part of its inventory from the American facility, which is to start assembly of jetliners during 2015 – with deliveries beginning in 2016.

Courpron attended this week’s Paris Air Show, where he announced ILFC’s signing of a firm contract for the purchase of 50 additional A320neo (new engine option) Family aircraft.  ILFC was the initial lessor to select the A320neo Family, with an initial firm order placed in 2011 for 100.  ILFC is the largest single customer for Airbus.
