An Airbus Military A400M provided quite the entrance today for French President Franҫois Hollande, who visited the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget Airport.
Hollande – joined by Airbus President and Chief Executive Officer Fabrice Brégier – arrived this morning aboard the multi-role airlifter after a short flight from Vélizy – Villacoublay French Air Force Base, which is located southwest of Paris.
The pair was then greeted upon their arrival by EADS Chief Executive Officer Tom Enders, and the red-carpet was rolled out as the delegation toured the EADS exhibition hall and static display areas.
The aircraft that transported Hollande to Le Bourget Airport was the second production A400M, known as MSN8, which is planned for delivery to the French Air Force in August. The aircraft made its first flight this May and is scheduled to enter Airbus Military’s Delivery Centre in July.
