EASA certification granted for Airbus’ Sharklets on A319 aircraft powered by CFM56 engines

Airbus has received European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification for Sharklet-equipped A319 jetliners fitted with CFM International CFM56 powerplants. This milestone marks an important step for the planned service entry later this year of the shortened-fuselage A320 Family member with these fuel-saving wingtip devices.
