The Airbus Military A400M receives its official naming: ATLAS

A new programme milestone has been reached for Airbus Military’s A400M with announcement of this next-generation airlifter’s official naming: ATLAS. The designation was confirmed today during a ceremony held at the Royal International Air Tattoo industry event in England, which involved the European Union’s OCCAR (Organisation Conjointe de Coopération en matière d'ARmement) agency for joint armament cooperation and the A400M’s customer nations.
