Manufacturing the 3,000th A320 Family aircraft

Airbus has reached a new milestone for its best selling single-aisle Family with the first metal cut for the wing box of the 3,000th A320 Family aircraft on 11 April at the French plant of Nantes. To date, the A320 Family has won more than 4,300 firm orders and over 2,600 aircraft are in operation around the world. Nantes manufactures wing boxes for all Airbus aircraft, from the A318 to the A380, including the future A350 and the military transport aircraft A400M.
