Airbus launched its first BizLab aerospace accelerator on 9 March. The 700m2 Toulouse facility is the first in a start-up-nurturing network that will extend to Hamburg and Bangalore. BizLab provides bright ideas with resources and support to take them to market faster. Guests at the inauguration heard from experienced speakers including ‘angel’ investor Semyon Dukach, who told Airbus’ budding intrapreneurs not to fear failure – as long as they believe in success from the start.

RwandAir, the national flag carrier of the Republic of Rwanda, has signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) for two A330s. The agreement makes RwandAir a new Airbus customer and the first airline in East Africa to order the A330. RwandAir’s A330s will be delivered in the second half of 2016 and will be equipped with Rolls Royce Trent 772B engines.

An A320 of Brussels Airlines with a special livery inspired by the Tintin comic book “Red Rackham’s treasure” has landed today at Toulouse-Blagnac airport.
