Airbus reaffirmed its strong commercial and industrial ties to China this week, building on a successful relationship with the country to further establish the company’s position as a leader in this rapidly-developing market for commercial aviation.

The world’s newest, most modern and efficient aircraft, the A350 XWB, arrived in Sao Paulo–Guarulhos International Airport, officially kicking off the aircraft’s Americas Demo Tour. The Demo Tour will continue taking flight test aircraft MSN 2 to other major airports in Latin America, stopping in Campinas, Brazil and Bogota, Colombia before heading to the United States.

Arriving from Sao Paulo, the A350 XWB landed in Campinas, Viracopos International Airport, Brazil for the first time ever as part of its Demo Tour across the Americas. Vietnam Airlines has selected Airbus to provide Flight Hour Services (FHS) for its new fleet of 14 A350-900s on order. With this contract, Vietnam Airlines becomes the first A350 XWB operator to select Airbus FHS. The agreement, which will run for 12 years, provides an extensive scope including A350 line replaceable units (LRUs), guaranteed spare parts availability through a pool access service at Vietnam Airlines’ main base and selected outstations.

China Aviation Supplies Holding Company (CAS) has signed with Airbus a General Terms Agreement (GTA) for 45 A330 Family aircraft and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for  options for 30 A330s. The all-new A350 XWB jetliner is making its first visit to Ireland, underscoring the close relationship between Airbus and its customers with operations in Ireland – including the largest global lessor AerCap and the country’s flag carrier, Aer Lingus.

Innovation and leadership on display: Airbus at the 2015 Paris Air Show

Airbus will showcase its highly-efficient families of commercial aircraft – which range from 100 to more than 500 seats – and continuous technological innovations at this year’s Paris Air Show, which runs from 15-21 June.

The company’s market-leading widebody product line will be out in “full force” on the grounds of Le Bourget Airport near Paris – with four total A350 XWB and A380 aircraft appearing during the event.
