I joined Airbus after finishing my double diploma with the Georgia Institute of Technology, where I did a Master of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering and a Certificate of Management in Management of Technology. I also did a Master of Science in Automatic Control & Industrial Computation at the Ecole des Mines de Nantes.
I am currently on my first twelve month assignment in the Configuration Management Centre of Competence. My role is to build a performance monitoring system on Configuration Management (CM) processes across programmes. I also support other performance improvement projects dealing with CM.
This first assignment is a very enriching experience as I get to see the whole development lifecycle - CM is a trans-programme and trans-functional discipline, which means it follows an aircraft from design to delivery and on-going support. Plus, I have a lot of autonomy.
Besides working on challenging projects, Airbus gives you access to many career development tools and opportunities. Being part of a programme like PROGRESS you get excellent training, guidance and mentor support. You also start your career with two concrete trans-divisional and/or trans-national assignments within EADS.
