| In 2007, the Asset Management team sold nine aircraft, extended some leasing agreements in place and supported a number of new Airbus aircraft sales campaigns. |

Confirming the trend already shown in 2006, the 2007 core activity was the sale of aircraft to financial investors with leases attached. This included the sale of:
- three A340-300s operated by Virgin Atlantic and two A340-200s operated by Royal Jordanian to Republic Financial Corporation
- one A321-200 operated by Alitalia to Oasis International Leasing
- one A330-300 operated by Aer Lingus to AirCastle.
Asset Management also gained two new Airbus customers with the sale of an A340-200 to Conviasa, in Venezuela, and the sale of an A310-300 to a start-up operator in the United Arab Emirates.
Acting in its capacity as a remarketing agent for the European Export Credit Agencies (ECAs), Asset Management arranged the sale of three A319s and an A320 with leases attached (operated by NAS, THY and Meridiana) to AirCastle.
At the end of 2007, the Airbus portfolio consisted of 14 aircraft including 10 A310-300s and four A340-200s.
The team is also closely involved in the marketing of freighter versions of the Airbus product line. |
