ALAFCO orders 12 A350s
20 November 2005

ALAFCO, the Kuwait-based international aircraft leasing company, has signed a contract for 12 Airbus A350s with options on six more, reaffirming the commitment that it announced in June.
Announcing the order at the Dubai Airshow, Gustav Humbert, President and CEO of Airbus, stressed the fact that leasing companies had to anticipate the needs of airlines for aircraft.

“ALAFCO is the first leasing company to select the A350,” he said. “The A350 is an aircraft of the future, a future in which ALAFCO is now investing.”

ALAFCO Chairman and CEO Ahmed Al Zabin confirmed that the A350 represented the future of aviation. “The A350 also fits well with ALAFCO’s future plans. We believe very much in the technology developed by Airbus and we expect to have a lot to do with Airbus in the coming years.”
