The new Airbus-led CFMS Core Programme aims to develop innovative computer-based simulation systems to streamline and enhance the future design process for aircraft and other applications. This research programme will optimise product development lead times while reducing energy consumption and waste during the design process.
Airbus is pursuing the potential application of fuel cells on its airliners, allowing such systems to produce electricity cleaner and more efficiently. An A320 demonstration flight has been made in cooperation with DLR and Michelin.
