About Information Systems
ICT (Information Communication Technology) is recognised as the Information Systems (IS) partner to the Airbus business, sharing common targets and goals, providing an in-depth knowledge of the Airbus Business combined with IS expertise. Our mission is to provide robust and efficient IS services and to guide Airbus in optimising and aligning its business processes in order to address current and future challenges, enabling Airbus to be more efficient.
ICT aims to remove the barriers between the different entities, which may hinder a smooth process by providing a unique set of methods and tools for efficient Concurrent Engineering across Airbus and the Extended Enterprise.
To achieve this ICT is doing cooperative work and exchange of data across Airbus and the Extended Enterprise in all phases, e.g. for sharing of integrated processes within Airbus, Design and Industrial principles definition or Systems and Equipment installation and integration. ICT contributes to lead time reduction, product quality improvement through optimised configuration control and increase of value for customers; and thus to the success of Airbus.
DEG's have a chance to run trans-national projects in the development / integration area and work with procurement to evaluate and validate suppliers. It will also provide an understanding of the requirements of internal engineering and manufacturing customers and provide the best solution for them. There is also the chance to manage multiple partner project teams in large ICT projects with key suppliers, as well as develop and manage ICT system architecture. |
