The application process for September 2008 entry to our Direct Entry Graduate Scheme is now closed. The graduate recruitment process for September 2009 entry will commence in autumn 2008, so please keep checking the website at this time for further details.

The Direct Entry Graduate Scheme is a two-year programme (except for Finance, which is a three-year programme) that combines structured placements with focused training programmes in both our UK sites: Filton, Bristol and Broughton, North Wales.

We pride ourselves on having a scheme that gives participants the chance to enjoy a great future at Airbus, if they achieve the required performance measures. Earlier this year, Airbus was nominated as one of the most popular graduate recruiters in the ‘Engineering & Science’ category at the TARGET National Graduate Recruitment Awards.

Throughout the programme you will be given wide-ranging support to ensure that you are well equipped to make the most of your placements.

From the beginning of the programme each graduate is assigned to a particular function (department) within the company, known as the target area. In this way you can be guided through the various placement opportunities that exist within your function, the wider business and sometimes with customers and suppliers. To find out what placements previous graduates have undertaken, please click here.

This practical experience is complemented by a number of valuable training programmes covering the following topics: behavioural development and personal effectiveness, business awareness and technical understanding and cultural awareness. To find out more about training and development opportunities refer to FAQs.

At the end of the scheme, if you have shown the necessary performance capabilities, you will be considered for a role within your target department that could see your career progressing on a variety of paths.
