The Direct Entry Graduate Scheme is a two-year programme (except for Finance, which is a three-year programme) that combines structured placements with focused training programmes in both our UK sites: Filton, Bristol and Broughton, North Wales. We pride ourselves on having a scheme that gives participants the chance to enjoy a great future at Airbus, if they achieve the required performance measures. Earlier this year, Airbus was nominated as one of the most popular graduate recruiters in the ‘Engineering & Science’ category at the TARGET National Graduate Recruitment Awards. Throughout the programme you will be given wide-ranging support to ensure that you are well equipped to make the most of your placements. From the beginning of the programme each graduate is assigned to a particular function (department) within the company, known as the target area. In this way you can be guided through the various placement opportunities that exist within your function, the wider business and sometimes with customers and suppliers. This practical experience is complemented by a number of valuable training programmes covering the following topics: behavioural development and personal effectiveness, business awareness and technical understanding and cultural awareness.
