2008 sales
As of 6 October, the sales of Airbus corporate, executive and VIP aircraft in 2008 stood at 14 Airbus Corporate Jet (ACJ) Family aircraft, eight A350 XWB Prestige jetliners and one A340-500 Prestige.
ACJ Family sales
Airbus ACJ Family aircraft have surpassed the 150 total sales milestone and now fly on every continent, including Antarctica.

The operational and technological advantages that make Airbus jetliners the aircraft of choice for airlines around the world also provide full benefits for executive and private aviation operators.
Innovation has always been a cornerstone of Airbus’ success – and the company continues its tradition of applying the latest concepts to ensure greater comfort, more modern design, better performance, lower operating costs and excellent reliability.

The use of advanced aerodynamics, modern metal alloys and composite materials result in durable airframes that are lighter and more fuel efficient.

Thee A318 Elite, Airbus Corporate Jetliner (ACJ) and A320 Prestige share the same pilot type-rating as the A320 Family, enabling pilots to fly any of them with a single licence. This yields a large pool of pilots available to fly any Airbus ACJ Family aircraft, as more than 25,000 cockpit crewmembers hold the coveted A320 Family rating today.

The larger A330, A340 and A380 widebodies retain the same basic handling qualities and common cockpit layout as the A320 Family, so an Airbus-qualified pilot can easily transition between the various aircraft types. This creates significant operational and economic advantages for those operators that utilise a mixed Airbus fleet.
Head-up display… Airbus offers digital head-up displays on all of its Executive and Private Aviation aircraft, from the ACJ Family to the A380. These displays are part of the third-generation avionics that enable Airbus airliners to make safe landings in even the poorest visibility.
