Freight operations will be on a different scale, with new levels of range and efficiency, when the A380 Freighter enters service
A new reference in cargo operations with three decks and faster service with non-stop, long-range flights.
The A380 is to bring new levels of efficiency to the cargo market by carrying 150 metric tonnes of payload.
All three A380 decks will accommodate standard cargo containers and a variety of pallets.
The A380 Airport Characteristics manual, which is issued for the A380-800 passenger aircraft and A380-800F freighter, provides preliminary data needed by airport operators and airlines for airport facilities planning. This manual and other useful documentation on A380 operation and support - including the Maintenance Facility Planning Manual, Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Charts, and Airport Recovery Manual - are available for download as .pdf files in the Technical data section.
