Airbus’ latest addition to its family of freighter aircraft is the efficient, reliable and profitable A330-200F – a mid-size, long-haul cargo aircraft that benefits from the excellent economics and fly-by-wire technology of the popular A330-200 airliner.

As the new freighter of choice for a growing number of international operators and leasing companies, the A300-200F is aimed at replacing ageing mid-size long-haul freighters, and also offers opportunities to grow frequencies in under-served markets at no additional cost per tonne.

In addition, the A330-200F will provide airlines with a highly efficient solution in replacing services of passenger and cargo “combi” aircraft with a dedicated all-cargo solution.  It is the only modern mid-size, long-haul freighter on the market today, with the ability to carry 64 metric tonnes over 4,000 nm/7,400 km, or 69 tonnes to a distance of 3,200 nm/5,930 km.

Flexibility has been further enhanced with the introduction of Airbus’ versatile main-deck cargo loading system, which can accommodate both pallets and containers – enabling operators to serve the freight lift needs of varying markets.

To date, the A330-200F – which completed its successful maiden flight on 5 November 2009 – has gained 64 firm orders from nine customers worldwide.

With its operational flexibility, the new A330-200F is well suited for both long-haul routes and regional operations to feed cargo into hub airports.
The A330-200F combined with the well established A330-200 passenger variant, will provide the best solution to replace out of date ‘combi’ aircraft.
The highly versatile A330-200F can accommodate both pallets and containers in different arrangements on the main and lower decks.
A growing number of cargo airlines and leasing companies have ordered the A330-200F, confirming this freighter’s worldwide popularity.
