As the new freighter of choice for a growing number of international operators and leasing companies, the A300-200F is aimed at replacing ageing mid-size long-haul freighters, and also offers opportunities to grow frequencies in under-served markets at no additional cost per tonne.
In addition, the A330-200F will provide airlines with a highly efficient solution in replacing services of passenger and cargo “combi” aircraft with a dedicated all-cargo solution. It is the only modern mid-size, long-haul freighter on the market today, with the ability to carry 64 metric tonnes over 4,000 nm/7,400 km, or 69 tonnes to a distance of 3,200 nm/5,930 km.
Flexibility has been further enhanced with the introduction of Airbus’ versatile main-deck cargo loading system, which can accommodate both pallets and containers – enabling operators to serve the freight lift needs of varying markets.
Prior to its first flight on 5 November 2009, the A330-200F had already gained 67 firm orders with nine customers. In addition, the aircraft was selected by a tenth customer – Turkish Airlines, which signed a memorandum of understanding in 2009 for two A330-200Fs.
