Airbus’ A320 Family sets the standards for passenger comfort, featuring the widest fuselage of any single-aisle aircraft. This provides wider seats for passengers; and a larger aisle that enables faster boarding and deplaning, as well an easier movement of passengers, cabin crew and service carts during flight.

The optimised fuselage width also gives airlines the maximum versatility in cabin layout. First-class and business-class cabins on the A320 Family can be outfitted in four- and five-abreast seating with the same comfort as widebody aircraft on international routes, while a six-abreast economy configuration accommodates the widest seats on a single-aisle airliner. For in-flight service, cabin crews can do their jobs more efficiently and provide better service with galleys that have 40 percent more working volume and 25 percent more galley volume than other single-aisle aircraft.

Carry-on baggage is a major issue for all airlines today, and the A320 Family responds to passengers’ needs with large, efficiently-shaped overhead stowage compartments that are on average 40 percent longer, 20 percent higher and 20 percent deeper than those on competing aircraft. In addition, equal spacing below the seats provides greater and more practical under-seat stowage in front of each passenger. Another feature of the overhead stowage compartments is their ability to accommodate an optional entertainment system with deployable screens.
...air purification system: Airbus engineers have developed a catalytic converter that removes foul odours from the air before it is pumped into a jetliner’s cabin. With the exhaust of aircraft and ground support vehicles prevalent on airport tarmacs, the Airbus-designed purification system filters out toxic fumes and unpleasant smells to provide passengers with clean, fresh air. U.S.-based carrier jetBlue was the first to install the system in its fleet of A320s, and it now is offered on all Airbus aircraft upon request.
