Worldwide presence
Internationalisation
It has been at the roots of its success since its creation forty years ago. With the four main industrialised nations of Europe to which it owes its existence, France, Germany, Spain and the UK, Airbus has been built on its ability to draw on the best that Europe has to offer and develop innovative products in anticipation of market needs, and now does the same on a global scale.
Airbus is a global company that creates value for its customers, its shareholders, itself and the many countries around the world where its aircraft are operated.
Network
Headquartered in Toulouse, France, Airbus is owned by EADS.
It is a truly global enterprise with an active workforce of 55,000 around the world, fully-owned subsidiaries in the United States, China, Japan and in the Middle East, spare parts centres in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Washington, Dubai, Beijing and Singapore, training centres in Toulouse, Miami, Hamburg and Beijing and more than 150 field service offices around the world.
Airbus’ industrial network has been expanded to include a regional design office in North America, a joint venture engineering centre in Russia and further engineering centres in the People’s Republic of China and India.
Airbus also relies on industrial co-operation and partnerships with major companies all over the world, and a network of some 1,500 suppliers in 30 countries.
