Airbus / CAE Training Centre
As part of a worldwide partnership between Airbus and CAE in 2005, a Training Centre presence in Dubai was established equipped with A320 simulators. The facility is located at the Emirates Training Academy and while it provides training support primarily to Emirates Airlines also provides training support to other airlines in the region.
The facility provides 24/7 training by Airbus approved instructors. The training available includes transition training, refresher and recurrent training, cross crew qualification, and specific training such as ETOPS.
Having a locally based facility enables regional airlines to minimise the costs and disruptions of pilot training.
Airbus has also established a Dubai based Flight Operations support capability as part of a global strategy to have regional support available. The aim is to support airline operations throughout the region providing specialised advice.

Airbus Spares Centre

As part of Airbus’ worldwide support presence and in order to provide enhanced support to airlines in the region, Airbus opened the Airbus Material and Logistics in the Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZ) in the United Arab Emirates in April 2008.
The Material and Logistics Centre covers over 3,700 square metres of storage space and office facilities ensuring optimised logistics and efficiency. The centre will stock more than 5,000 different parts with around 43,000 items at any one time, offering customer support and aircraft spares distribution to regional and worldwide destinations 24 hours a day.
The Centre hosts an avionics and electronics repair station and a vendor village providing state of the art business centre services as well as office and storage facilities for original equipment manufacturer (OEMs) to enable commercial and technical support with optimised delivery lead times.
The facility is fully air conditioned and humidity controlled and is an integrated part of the Airbus Quality System, with approvals from the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the United Arab Emirates, as well as EASA.

Airbus Resident Customer Support Managers
As part of Airbus support concept, Airbus has approximately 300 Resident Customer Support Managers (RCSM) at nearly 160 locations worldwide.
Airbus has RSCMs at a number of locations throughout the Middle East and Northern Africa. The RCSMs work on site with airlines to ease the introduction of new Airbus aircraft into an airlines fleet.
They provide 24/7 on site technical advice, support and to help ensure the safe operation of an airlines aircraft. This helps ease the entry into service of new aircraft and allows airlines to maximise the utilisation of their Airbus fleet.
