We make it fly

Airbus makes the freedom of flight possible by designing, manufacturing and supporting the world’s best jetliners. Its people around the globe are united by a passion for aviation, as well as their desire to create better, more efficient ways for airlines and passengers to fly.

The company’s comprehensive product line comprises highly-successful families of jetliners ranging from 100 to more than 600 seats: the single-aisle A320 Family, which is civil aviation’s best-selling product line; the widebody, long-range A330 Family; the new-generation widebody A350 XWB; and the flagship double-deck A380.

In pioneering technological solutions while seeking highly efficient sourcing and manufacturing, Airbus strives to remain at the aviation industry’s forefront – consistently winning approximately half of all mainline jetliner orders placed worldwide.

Commercial Aircraft is a core business of Airbus – a worldwide leader and Europe’s largest aeronautics and space company – which also incorporates divisions specialised in space and defence, as well as helicopters.

A global presence

While headquartered in Toulouse, France, Airbus truly is “at home” all over the world.

The company has expanded its strong European roots to move forward on an international scale with fully-owned subsidiaries in the United States, China, Japan, India and the Middle East; spare parts centres in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Washington, Beijing, Dubai and Singapore; engineering and training centres in Toulouse, Miami, Wichita, Hamburg, Bangalore and Beijing; and more than 150 field service offices around the world.

With final assembly lines in Europe, China and the U.S., the sun never sets on Airbus manufacturing.

To be even closer to customers, Airbus  is also actively developing engineering, manufacturing and service capabilities in Europe, China, India, Russia, the Middle East, Singapore and the U.S.

Global diversity is a key enabler of Airbus’ innovation strategy, highlighted by the multi-cultural workforce that includes over 100 nationalities from every region worldwide. With these many different perspectives, the company can draw on a deeper pool of ideas and approaches to find better ways to fly.

Highly competitive on every level

Airbus is a top-performing enterprise – but never stands still. To fulfil its potential, the company must be constantly improving to meet customer needs and passenger desires.

To this end, Commercial Aircraft has grown its jetliner product line to offer a complete solution that is highly competitive on every level – reinforced by the company's expanded service offer, as well as its increased global footprint. Additionally, Airbus’ ambitious product policy ensures it stays ahead of the competition with continuous improvement.

Airbus also has become a more integrated company, working towards one common culture across its global workforce, as well as aligning processes and planning with the global supplier base.
