Airbus delivers its first U.S.-built aircraft to JetBlue

JetBlue officially took delivery of the first A320 Family aircraft produced at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility in Mobile, Alabama on 25 April 2016. The milestone jetliner was an A321 – the longest-fuselage member of Airbus’ popular single-aisle product line. This historic event was marked with a festive American football-themed ceremony held at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley – which was decorated in the U.S.’s red, white and blue colours.

The new Airbus Asia Training Centre opens in Singapore

The opening of Airbus Asia Training Centre (AATC) – a joint venture owned 55% by Airbus and 45% by Singapore Airlines – brings type rating and recurrent training courses for all in-production Airbus types to a new facility at Singapore’s Seletar Aerospace Park. Serving the Asia region, AATC will be Airbus’ largest flight crew training facility when fully operational.

A350 XWB Latin American tour: Argentina

On its way to FIDAE 2016, Airbus’ A350 XWB jetliner stopped over in Buenos Aires, Argentina for a visit with staff and officials from Aerolineas Argentinas, Argentina’s flagship carrier. The video includes comments from Isela Costantini, President of Aerolineas Argentinas Group, who praised the aircraft’s quiet and spacious interior. Aerolineas Argentinas is an operator of A330 and A340 aircraft from Airbus’ market-leading widebody product line.
