Airbus’ A330neo builds on this widebody family’s success

Continuing its commitment to continuous product upgrades, Airbus launched the enhanced A330neo (new engine option) at the 2014 Farnborough Airshow. Scheduled for a fourth quarter 2017 service entry, the A330neo will be equipped with Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines and shares 95 per cent commonality with existing A330 aircraft. Other upgrades include improved aerodynamic performance and the latest cabin developments – including Airbus’ modern comfort standard for economy class: at least 18-inch wide seats.

The 21st century flagship highlights Airbus’ passion for aviation as a true game-changer for travellers, with its unrivalled space and comfort aloft, while generating significant revenue for operators. Thirteen operators now fly the double-deck A380 – with the jetliner taking off or landing somewhere in the world every four minutes, on average.

Airbus Cockpit Experience (ACE) Trainer

The Airbus Cockpit Experience (ACE) Trainer is a mobile cockpit simulator that simulates the A350 XWB cockpit and its associated systems in an interactive and realistic environment. It enables a trainee to acquire knowledge on system operation, as well as on normal/abnormal/emergency procedures thanks to the following elements: Guided hands-on lessons; Assisted Procedure lessons; Limited free play area for session preparation or briefing, and/or reinforcement. The ACE Trainer can be used for A350 XWB Airbus Flight Crew Licensing (FCL) courses and beyond.

Airbus and India: A close working relationship

Airbus BizLab: accelerating aerospace innovation

This video puts the spotlight on Airbus' BizLab network, which was created to speed up the transformation of ground-breaking ideas into valuable business propositions, all within an extended innovation eco-system. An Airbus BizLab provides wide-ranging support for early-stage projects in the form of a six-month acceleration programme, through which entrepreneurs, start-up businesses and Airbus employee “intrapreneurs” are given access to a large number of coaches, experts and mentors across various domains.
