An Airbus Corporate Jetliner operated by Switzerland’s Comlux will be brought to Orlando, Florida for the U.S. National Business Aviation Association's annual meeting and convention October 6-8. This aircraft is equipped with a VIP interior, and seats up to 19 passengers.
An Airbus Corporate Jetliner (ACJ) featuring a VIP cabin will be displayed at the National Business Aviation Association's annual meeting and convention for the first time, giving potential customers the chance to experience for themselves the comfort and spaciousness that it offers.
The Airbus ACJ, which is flown by VVIP operator Comlux of Switzerland, features a VIP interior comprising a bedroom with ensuite bathroom, including a shower, a lounge, a dining room, and first-class seating. It seats up to 19 passengers.
Airbus' ACJ Family, comprising the A318 Elite, ACJ and A320 Prestige, is the new top-end of the market in business jets. It features the widest, tallest and most spacious cabins in its class, with around twice the cabin width and nearly three times the volume of traditional business jets.
Derived from the best-selling A320 product line, which now has some 6,300 orders to its credit, the Airbus ACJ Family is also a more modern design than yesterday's large business jets - as well as an attractively affordable alternative.
Airbus' ACJ Family is thus well placed to benefit from customers trading up from traditional business jets, because although it is similarly sized on the outside, it features a much more comfortable and spacious cabin on the inside.
The Airbus ACJ Family has won more than 100 sales since its launch a decade ago, and has a strong customer-base around the world, with aircraft flying on every continent, including Antarctica (ferrying scientists to and from Australia).
It remains the consistent leader at the top end of the corporate jet market, where the Airbus corporate jetliners won 38 firm orders last year, comprising 31 Airbus ACJ Family aircraft and seven VIP widebodies.
Airbus' corporate jet offering includes the widebody A330, A340, A350 and even the double-deck A380, making it the supplier of the ultimate in corporate jets. It announced its first sales of VIP A350s last year, adding to several VIP A340 orders, and also landed its first deal for a VIP A380 - highlighting the strong demand that it continues to see from the market.
With more than 50 sales of government and VIP widebodies to its credit, plus over 100 orders for its ACJ Family, Airbus has now sold a total of more than 150 corporate aircraft worldwide.
Airbus is showing the Comlux ACJ in the NBAA convention's aircraft display area at Orlando Executive Airport. In addition, Airbus is participating in the indoor exhibits at the Orange Country Convention Center (Booth #4776).
